I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ALSO.. GETING READY FOR A FAMILY REUNION.. AND THIS WOULD BE A GREAT AUCTION ITEM TO RAISE FUNDS FOR NEXTÂ YEAR REUNION.. I AM THINKING A METAL FENCE POST.. WITH POTS STACKED THROUGH IT. BUT NOT SURE ABOUT POT SIZES…
They take a piece of re~bar, and put in into the ground (*a good amount so it doesn’t fall over) then they take the clay pots… put them thru the tiny hole in the bottom first (carefully/slowly as clay pots do break) and then tip or tilt each one in a different/opposite direction.. fill it with potting soil and plant your plants.. and always leave room at the top so the rebar goes over the top of the top pot, so it still has something to lean on… otherwise it tips…
I am not the original poster.. but I did see this somewhere’s and did not see info on how it was made, but my guess would be to measure the amount of pots you want to use, and back track that way… or experiment.. grab a few different sizes of rebar and go from there… I’d love to hear if you get one made!!!
This is so cool! I posted this on pinterest a few weeks ago. The place where I work (Blue Moon Gift Shops in Wilmington, NC) just rented space to a new vendor who actually sells these with a hardware kit to get started. His shop, Katie’s Garden, hasn’t opened yet but he will have them for sale for any of you who want to take the guess work out of it! I can’t wait to buy one!!
can you tell me how it’s made, I really like it and would like to make it for my yard. Thanks
